Hi!  I am Albina Bougartchev, a self-taught photographer, a food stylist, and a cook!  I live in Moscow, Russia.  I love to tell stories with food - not the same as playing with food though :-)

Sometimes these stories come out bright and happy and cheerful, other times they are kind of cozy, moody, and darkish which is not surprising at all with the long, dark, and cold Moscow winters...

I love to photograph all kinds of foods: creamy soups, thick slices of breads, teas and jams in winter;  greens and smoothies and fluffy pastry in spring;  abundant and colorful vegetables and berries, fish, light chocolates mousses in summer;  pumpkins, thick stews, chutneys and late summer fruits in autumn... Food is beautiful, don't you think?

I tend to shoot editorial more than anything else as I can cook almost anything myself - another passion of mine!  However, I gladly shoot restaurant food and ready-to-eat foods like jams, breads, cookies, and food ingredients.

Life is a journey.  Why can't it be a happy one?  As long as we have food to enjoy - and someone else who can... Cook. Style. Shoot.
